THE HERVEY Bay Advertiser is launching a monthly Community Diary from our issue of November 2nd, specifically catering to charity, not-for-profit, sporting and community groups to advertise their programs and initiatives.
From the Men’s Shed to health programs, Lions Club, Rotary, Neighbourhood Centre programs, Council programs or anything that is of benefit to the wider community, it will be found in the Community Diary.
If you are looking for more participation in what you do or want to draw a crowd to your next fundraising event or meeting, we want to help you let everyone know about it.
But we need your help first.
“We know that there are a lot of amazing events and programs out there, that the wider community can benefit from. We also know that these organisations often have little or no funds to spread this valuable word via paid advertising,” Darren Bosely, Hervey Bay Advertiser General Manager said.
“Your event or program might be a one-off, a weekly, fortnightly or monthly meeting or get-together. The most important thing for us, is that it is a community benefit and supports the region in which we live.”
“The process for submitting your information is a very simple one. Simple email us at edit@herveybayadvertiser.com.au and express your interest and we will send you out a fact sheet.”
“This will give you all the dates that the Community Diary will be published for the next year. You can choose specific dates or choose to have it ongoing in every issue.”
“It also explains how many words you can send us and the deadlines that we need. That is vital if you are planning ahead.”
“Each issue of the Hervey Bay Advertiser reaches 22,000 homes and over 55,000 readers. This can be a huge opportunity for all of the great organisations out there.”
A special thank you to The Social Shift, funded by the Department of Social Services Local Services Plans-Community-Led Support Fund for this exciting place-based community development opportunity.
