HBNC is thrilled to announce the official launch of the Youth Events Team Initiative (YETI), a dynamic new program designed specifically for young people aged 18-25 on the Fraser Coast.
This new program is all about designing and delivering events and opportunities aimed at making the Fraser Coast more inclusive for young people.
Now, we are looking for volunteer team members eager to get involved and make a difference for Fraser Coast young people.
Narelle Duroux, YETI Manager, said there was a real need to deliver events that specifically met the needs of younger residents.
“At HBNC, we believe the young people of Fraser Coast can truly belong and thrive in their community,” Narelle said.
“We know that everyone deserves a place where they feel safe, connected, and empowered, and we also know that getting involved should be fun, vibrant, and creative.”
Funded by the State Government, the YETI program is an extension of the HBNC Social Enterprise providing training and transferable employment skills for young people, as well as providing an avenue for fresh, new ideas that are the lifeblood of a strong, inclusive community.
YETI is seeking enthusiastic young people aged 18 -25 to join our Volunteer Events Team.
Members of the Volunteer Events Team will have the unique opportunity to be at the forefront of creating, planning, and delivering events tailored to the interests and needs of Fraser Coast’s youth.
As a YETI volunteer, you'll play a pivotal role in driving positive change in our community, making it a more inclusive and supportive environment for younger generations.
Volunteers will also gain invaluable experience in key areas such as event planning, marketing, and budgeting, all while working alongside a passionate team committed to making a difference.
