The willingness to volunteer may appear to be a simple and rewarding decision, yet many are unsure and in particular, which organisation do you choose.

Whether you're passionate about serving your community, supporting a cause you believe in, or simply seeking to give back, becoming a volunteer opens doors to endless opportunities for personal growth and social impact.

The question every person should ask themselves is – what your passion and interests are?

Reflecting on your passions, interests, and values to consider the causes or issues that resonate with you deeply and align with your personal beliefs and values.

The next stage is researching the organisations that aligns upon your reflection.

The opportunity to reach and connect with these organisations has an ideal upcoming event for prospective volunteers.

The Purposeful Volunteering Expo will launch National Volunteer Week on the Fraser Coast with the expo on Monday 20^th May 10am to 1pm at the Urangan Community Wellness Centre, Elizabeth Street (opposite Miller Street), Urangan.

You can explore a sea of opportunities that offers the chance for your skills to make a real difference. There will be a showcase of groups that are actively in need of volunteers and the public have the opportunity to speak directly with these groups.

There is no cost for entry and 5 door prizes for people who attend. These prizes including a helicopter ride, free pass to an aquarium and other vouchers.

All volunteer groups and people interested in volunteering are welcome with a coffee van there, Fraser Coast FM broadcasting from the event and local radio station and a separate area where local volunteers from local organisations will be discussing their volunteer journey.
