Tombola fundraiser to aid education
THE HERVEY Bay VIEW Club is inviting the community to join them for their biggest event of the year — a fundraising Tombola on Tuesday, 2 December 2025, at the Hervey Bay RSL, Pialba.
Doors open at 9.30am, with the Tombola beginning at 10.30am sharp.
The event promises a morning of fun, prizes and community spirit, all in support of a vital cause — helping Australian children access better educational opportunities through The Smith Family’s Learning for Life program.
There will be a wide range of prizes on offer, including a door prize and raffle, with proceeds going directly toward supporting students experiencing disadvantage.
All funds raised will assist The Smith Family’s education initiatives, which empower young people to stay in school and reach their potential.
The Hervey Bay VIEW Club currently sponsors seven children through the Learning for Life program, contributing to the 1,802 students supported by VIEW clubs across Australia.
Through their fundraising efforts and ongoing community engagement, members play a key role in changing lives through education.
VIEW — which stands for Voice, Interests and Education of Women — is celebrating 65 years in 2025.
The organisation has grown to include more than 13,000 members and 268 clubs nationwide, all connected through friendship, shared purpose, and a commitment to helping children succeed.
Locally, the Hervey Bay VIEW Club is known for its active involvement in community events such as the recent Seniors Expo, where members had the chance to share their mission with the public.
The club thanked the Fraser Coast Regional Council, Bunnings Warehouse, Scotty’s Mad About Meat, and generous members for their ongoing support.
Residents are encouraged to come along to the Tombola, enjoy a morning of fun and prizes, and support a cause that makes a real difference to local and national education outcomes.
