Softball season swings back into action

THE CRACK of the bat and the cheer of the crowd have returned as the 2025/2026 softball season kicks off across the Fraser Coast.

This year marks a combined competition between the Maryborough and Hervey Bay softball associations, promising a stronger, more vibrant league than ever before.

Registrations are now open for all divisions: Men, Women, U17, U13, and T-Ball.
The season officially started from Saturday 11 October 2025 and goes through to Saturday 14 March 2026, giving players and fans months of exciting matchups and plenty of community spirit.

With local clubs including the Terrors, Misfits, and Waves, the competition will bring together athletes of all levels, from seasoned players to those just starting.

One of the most exciting developments this season is the introduction of the Home Run Heroes program. Designed especially for beginner juniors, the program provides a fun, welcoming entry point into the sport.

Young players can learn the skills of the game in a supportive environment, building confidence while making new friends.

For families looking to get their children active, it’s the perfect first step into team sport.

Games in Hervey Bay are played at Raward Road, behind the Aquatic Centre, a central and accessible venue for players and spectators alike.

The field is more than just a place to play – it is a community hub where friendships are formed and families gather week after week.
