SFC ignites the region with talent, training, and opportunity
SCREEN Fraser Coast is on a roll, delivering a wave of exciting events, industry experiences, and creative opportunities for our vibrant regional screen community.
Coming up 29th–31st August, we’re thrilled to welcome internationally renowned actor Stephen Hunter (The Hobbit trilogy, Thor: Love and Thunder) to the Fraser Coast for a series of unmissable events.
His visit will include free Q&A sessions and fan meet-and-greets, giving fans the chance to hear firsthand about life on set and the path to screen success.

Earlier this month, our first Extras Acting Workshop was a hit, with Amy and Kev delivering a fun, practical session on being a background extra on a film or TV set.
The energy was high and the talent undeniable.
It’s been incredible to see our local screen community grow with every event.
We also proudly hosted the Indigiverse Writing Workshop, presented by the creators behind Under the Shade, Dreamwalker, and Dark Heart.
Participants explored Indigenous sci-fi storytelling, producing powerful work and exploring culture, identity, and creativity.
A brilliant reminder of the depth of stories waiting to be told.
And don’t forget—entries for the Fraser Shorts Film Festival are open! Shine on screen and be part of a professionally run festival celebrating creativity and regional voices.
Entries close 21st September.
