Odyssey Festival returns to the Fraser Coast

AFTER a hugely successful 2025 launch that drew music lovers from across the region, the Odyssey Festival is set to return to the Fraser Coast’s iconic Maryborough Showgrounds on Saturday, July 25, 2026, promising a second year of unforgettable music and entertainment.

Known as the ultimate celebration for fans of the golden age of music, the festival has quickly become a must-attend event for lovers of classic hits, tribute performances, and live experiences that bring the magic of legendary artists to life.

This year’s lineup features some of the world’s most acclaimed tribute artists, including The Australian Bee Gees Show (Direct from Las Vegas), The Billy Joel Experience featuring Anthony Mara, The Elton John Experience starring Greg Andrew, GOLD: The Ultimate ABBA Show, and The Art of McCartney (performing songs of the Beatles, WINGS and Paul McCartney).

These world-class acts come together for a day of non-stop entertainment, showcasing the music that has defined generations.

For festival-goers looking to make a weekend of it, on-site camping will be available, allowing guests to immerse themselves fully in the festivities.

The celebrations begin early on Friday night, July 24, with Stereo City Nights — an exclusive pre-festival experience designed to channel the glamour, groove, and energy of the 1970s.

The evening features a high-energy DJ set that brings the era’s biggest hits to life under the open sky.

Adding to the excitement, Melbourne-based eight-piece band Yacht Rock Revival delivers a special set paying tribute to the smooth, sun-soaked sounds that defined 70s light rock.

Audiences can expect the ultimate collection of mellow grooves and timeless favourites from artists such as Toto, Billy Ocean, Phil Collins, Peter Cetera, Kenny Loggins, Little River Band, Steely Dan, The Doobie Brothers, Hall & Oates and more — the perfect soundtrack for a night where smooth truly means everything.

This opening night offers a taste of what’s to come, blending nostalgia, dance, and the communal joy of music with friends old and new.

Saturday, July 25, marks the main event: a full-scale tribute spectacular featuring five world-class acts paying homage to some of the most beloved names in music history.

After 24 years, more than 6,500 performances and appearances across 55 countries, The Australian Bee Gees Show continues to set the global standard for tribute entertainment.

Now in long-term residence at Las Vegas’ Excalibur Resort & Casino, the group was recently honoured with an official Proclamation of “The Australian Bee Gees Show Day” by the City of Las Vegas. Audiences can expect timeless hits like Stayin’ Alive, Night Fever, and How Deep Is Your Love in a production that captures the very essence of the Brothers Gibb.

Next, The Billy Joel Experience, featuring Anthony Mara and his world-class band, delivers a high-energy concert packed with Billy Joel’s biggest hits — Piano Man, Uptown Girl, We Didn’t Start the Fire and more — in a show that’s as authentic as it is exhilarating. Meanwhile, The Elton John Experience starring Greg Andrew embodies the flamboyance and brilliance of Sir Elton John in a breathtaking performance.

Recognised around the world for his uncanny likeness, powerhouse vocals, and virtuosic piano work, Greg has toured over 30 countries and performed for more than half a million fans, creating a moving tribute to the Rocketman’s enduring legacy.

For a unique treat, Greg Andrew and Anthony Mara will unite for a special encore performance, celebrating two of the greatest songwriters of all time.

Fans of ABBA will also be enthralled by GOLD: The Ultimate ABBA Show, which brings the nostalgia, glamour, and sing-along magic of ABBA to life in a dazzling production. Audiences can sing along to hits including Waterloo, Dancing Queen, Does Your Mother Know, and Gimme Gimme Gimme (A Man After Midnight) — a celebration not to be missed.

Finally, The Art of McCartney offers a heartfelt journey through the smash hits of The Beatles, Wings, and Paul McCartney’s solo career.

Led by Liverpool-born Maddy Breen, the show celebrates McCartney’s timeless songwriting, iconic melodies, and unparalleled influence, making it a must-see for music enthusiasts of all ages.

From the shimmering lights of 70s glam to the soaring anthems of classic pop and rock, Odyssey Festival 2026 promises world-class entertainment, nostalgia, and a strong sense of community under the Fraser Coast sky.

It’s more than a festival; it’s a celebration of music’s timeless power to bring people together.
