LOCAL aged-care provider Nurse Next Door Fraser Coast is inviting the community to take a seat at their Longtable Morning Tea, raising funds for Cancer Council Queensland in a warm, community-driven event this August.
The morning tea will be held on Wednesday, August 20, from 10am to 12pm at the beautiful Pier Village Café in Urangan.
Tickets are just $20 per person and include coffee or tea and a delicious slice of cake, all served at a long table setting overlooking the water.
The event is proudly supported in partnership with local charity We’ve Got You Foundation, which continues to play a key role in helping Fraser Coast families through health challenges and hardship.
Together, the two organisations aim to bring people together to raise awareness and funding for cancer research and support services.
Hosted as part of the Cancer Council’s Biggest Morning Tea initiative, the event offers locals a chance to come together, enjoy a relaxed catch-up with friends, and support life-saving work across Queensland.
“We’d love to see the Fraser Coast community come together for this,” said Nadine and Sue Dodd, the mother-daughter team behind Nurse Next Door Fraser Coast.
“Whether you’ve been personally affected by cancer or just want to make a difference, this is a simple but powerful way to help.”
In addition to the morning tea, there will be raffles and lucky-door prizes, with all proceeds donated to Cancer Council Queensland.
Attendees are encouraged to wear a splash of yellow or pink to show their support and unity in the fight against cancer.
Local businesses have also come on board, donating raffle items and offering support to help make the event a success.
The Pier Village Café team is proud to be hosting the occasion, helping create a warm, welcoming space for guests.
Nurse Next Door Fraser Coast is now a My Aged Care registered organisation, making it easier for locals to access government-funded support for in-home aged care services.
Their mission to “Make Lives Better®” extends beyond the home—into the heart of the community.
Seats are limited, and bookings are essential. To reserve your spot, contact Pier Village on

Come along, share a cuppa, and help support life-saving cancer research—one slice of cake at a time.
