Music lovers unite at Cool Country Music Club

IT IS ‘COOL’ to be at Cool Country Social Music Club, and for good reason. The meaning behind ‘Cool’ in Cool Country goes beyond genre – not only do they sing country; it is cool to sing any genre of music.

This simple idea has shaped the club into a welcoming, community-minded space where music of all styles is embraced and shared.

The Music Club is a not-for-profit Incorporation located here in Hervey Bay, with a clear aim to bring people and music together while raising funds for other local not for profit organisation’s in the Fraser Coast Wide Bay district.

The club practices every Thursday night, with doors opening at 4:15pm for a 5:00pm start at the Senior Citizens Hall, 28 Totness St, Torquay.

For just $5.00, members and visitors are invited to take part in a relaxed and supportive rehearsal environment.

The club’s doors are always open to people looking for somewhere to sing or play an instrument, either solo or accompanied by the Cool Country Band.

This experienced band is known for its ability to play all genres of music, including country, blues, instrumental pieces and rock n roll.

Age is no barrier, and the club actively encourages youth to come along, with all genres of music welcomed.

For those who are not performers, there is still plenty to enjoy, as the friendly and welcoming atmosphere is a much-loved drawcard for many regulars.

Concerts are held on the second Sunday of each month, except January, offering a showcase of local talent and community spirit.

The next Cool Country Music Club Open Day concert for 2026 will take place on Sunday 8th February 2026.

This event provides an opportunity to share with the public, along with other great entertainment by our club and visiting musicians, making it an ideal outing for music lovers of all ages.
