WIN Consulting Qld (WCQ) recently demonstrated its continued excellence in the construction industry by securing three prestigious awards at the Queensland Master Builders Awards. These latest accolades bring the company’s total to an impressive twenty-five QMBA Awards, a testament to the exceptional quality and innovation that WCQ consistently delivers.
Managing Director Glen Winney expressed his pride in this achievement, highlighting it as a reflection of the dedication and skill of the entire WCQ team.
“This recognition is truly a team effort,” Glen stated. “To be continuously acknowledged for excellence in the commercial building sector is a direct result of our unwavering commitment to delivering outstanding results for our clients. Every project we undertake is an opportunity to strive for excellence, and these awards are a validation of that commitment.”
WCQ’s three recent awards include the Best Medium Density up to Three Storeys – Over Five Dwellings for Marina Cove, Best Community Service Facility for Eli Waters Animal Clinic, and the Truecore Best Use of Steel Frame Housing Award for Marina Cove.
Glen attributes these achievements to the company’s deep understanding of client needs and its commitment to listening and responding effectively.
“These awards are not just a recognition of our technical capabilities, but also of our approach to client relationships. We focus on understanding what our clients truly want and then work backward from there to deliver a product that exceeds their expectations.”
He also emphasised the rigorous judging process for the QMBA Awards, where building experts personally tour each project.
“The judges look closely at the quality of workmanship, the challenges overcome during construction, the aesthetics, and the overall appeal of the project. Sustainability is another critical factor that enhances a project’s standing.”
Despite the accolades, Glen remains focused on WCQ’s core mission: serving the client.
“We don’t build for awards. While it’s gratifying to be recognised, our primary focus is always on the end user. Our goal is to deliver exactly what our clients need, with no compromises.”
Glen also noted the current challenges in the construction industry, particularly the high demand for trades in the housing market.
“There’s a lot of pressure on the trades right now, but there remains significant demand for bespoke and purpose-built commercial projects. It’s crucial for clients to partner with an organisation like WCQ that has the depth of experience and capability to deliver the high-quality outcomes they expect.”
