Groups invited to join FC Community Expo

LOCAL community, sporting and not-for-profit groups are invited to take part in the Fraser Coast Community Expo 2026 – a showcase of the clubs and organisations that make our region thrive.

The free event will be held at the Hervey Bay PCYC on Sunday 15 February 2026 from 9.30am to 2.30pm, featuring up to 60 stalls and displays from local groups, offering visitors a chance to explore a wide range of activities, services, and opportunities available across the Fraser Coast.

Fraser Coast Mayor George Seymour said the Expo would celebrate the many groups that make the region such a welcoming and vibrant place to live.

“The Fraser Coast is home to many clubs and community organisations that help people stay active, learn new skills and form friendships,” he said.

“The Community Expo is a fantastic opportunity for groups to showcase what they do, attract new members or volunteers, and share their passion with others.”

“Council is proud to partner with Rotary to put this event on in 2026 as part of our focus on creating connected, inclusive communities.”

Rotary Club of Hervey Bay Sunrise President Kevin Corcoran said Rotary was excited to help deliver an event that connects residents with local opportunities.

“The Expo is all about discovering what’s out there – from sporting clubs and hobby groups to volunteer services and community causes,” he said.

“It’s a friendly, welcoming space where local groups can showcase who they are and what they do, and where residents can find new ways to get involved and make a difference.”

Stall sites and tables are free, with spaces limited, making early registration essential for groups wanting to secure their spot.

The Expo is expected to draw a wide audience, from families and seniors to young people looking for ways to engage with their local community.

Attendees will have the chance to explore each stall, learn about programs, meet organisers, and connect with like-minded residents.
