THE HERVEY Bay Woodcrafts Club is eagerly preparing for its annual Christmas in July sale, set to take place on Sunday, July 14th.
The Club attracts all levels of woodworking enthusiasts, both male and female who gather weekly at their Torquay shed, dedicated to refining their skills with some of the best equipment available.
The Club is open on Monday, Wednesday and Friday mornings from 7am till 11.30am.
The workshop is equipped with the very best of equipment, this includes a full range of big and small wood lathes, bandsaws, router table, drum sander, table saws, jointer, scroll saws and various sanding machines, all underpinned by a ducted dust extraction system.
Club members can bring their own timber, but the club also accepts donations of wood; these are vital for new and ongoing projects. This collective effort fuels the creativity that the club is known for.
The Club has recently purchased a mobile bandsaw timber mill. An onsite timber milling service is available upon request.
Jenny Micallef, the club’s enthusiastic Events Coordinator, looks forward to the upcoming sale.
“Our members freely create their pieces here and generously donate some of their works to the sale. Proceeds from the sale help new equipment and other club expenses,” Jenny explained.
“Not every item will be Christmas-themed, but there will be plenty of unique gift options suitable for people of all ages.”
Jenny also highlighted the exceptional creativity of the club’s members, whose imaginative designs are a highlight of the event.
“It’s truly inspiring to see the beautiful and inventive items our members create. Each piece reflects their unique vision and skill.”
The Hervey Bay Woodcrafts Club, located at 187 Bideford Street Torquay next to the Hervey Bay Tennis Courts, will open the doors for the Christmas in July sale from 8am to 3pm on Sunday, July 14th.
Visitors can expect to find a variety of unique craft items, perfect for gifting or adding a touch of handcrafted charm to their home.
