PREPARE for a day of magical enchantment as witches, warlocks, wizards and wise ones gather for the Fraser Coast Witches Market on Saturday 29 June in Howard.
From 10am to 4pm, Bellert Park on Steley St in Howard will transform into the mystical market full of hard to get supplies, quirky gifts and a market event with a twist.
Organiser Wayne Pina-Roozemond (also known by his Pagan name Sargolais) said, “It’s difficult for a witch to buy supplies at Coles and the powdered newt sells out fast in the witches aisle at Woollies; that’s why we’ve created our own Witches Market!”
The market will feature stalls offering handmade natural products, knife and sword work, gothic fashion, jewellery, crystals, candles, healing balms, runes, cards, wands, altar products, tarot readers and spirituality and self-development course information to name a few.
Stallholders are travelling from as far as northern NSW and from past Bundaberg.
The day is more than a market day; it’s an event and experience that Mr Pina-Roozemond that has become an annual fixture for the Fraser Coast calendar.
“The event is an opportunity to hang out with all your friends in a safe environment where you can be the person you have always wanted to be.”
“Whether you’re a witch, warlock, gay, straight, biker or whatever you will be welcome in our space and circle; and prejudices or intolerances will not be tolerated.”
Mr Pina-Roozemond, a Fraser Coast local, has put on many of these event markets in South East Queensland over several years with large turnouts and expects this one will attract a crowd of around 2000 people for the unique event.
All are welcome to the enchanted fun of the Witches Market on Saturday 29 June.
